To shoot in RAW or to not shoot in RAW

That is the question, isn't it? I've booked four weddings in the last week (!) and am ready for the portraits to start rolling in, although that seems to be more difficult to get going for some reason. I've been thinking about shooting in RAW for more control over white balance, color correction, etc. but can't decide. I'm just so comfortable with JPEG...

Does anybody have any thoughts either way on the subject? I'm open to suggestions, really I am. I would appreciate any advice.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?...

Tip of the Week

IF you use an external hard drive for backup, and you should, please remember to unplug it from your computer when you're not using it!! Otherwise, it is susceptible to power surges and crashes. I have to admit, until someone pointed that out to me, I was guilty of keeping it hooked up to my 'puter "just in case" I needed something on it; but not anymore! As soon as I'm done backing up or retrieving something from it, I unplug it and put it back in its little cubby. Trust me - it's good advice!

I'm baa-aack

Okay, okay, so it's been a while since I've been here. I wasn't sure what to put in a blog - so I didn't put anything! I have since decided that that's not the way to do it! I've had a few local shows in libraries and community centers and also displayed my work at the inaugural Eden Prairie Art Crawl last September. All went well and I've had good experiences.

Lately, I've been working on building referrals for my Wedding and Portrait business, and in my spare time, I've been shoring up my atg images Facebook page. Come visit and become a fan! I'm running a special right now in honor of May being National Photography Month - $50 family portraits (up to 4 people/$10 for each additional person) if booked by May 30th! Hola, my friends! Welcome to my blog. Here I will post information about my adventures in freelance photography. Please visit often so you can see what kind of progress I'm making.

I have my first show in November. It's at the Chanhassen Library, and it will be up the entire month! Don't ask how I got it - it found me. At this point, I'm just looking for exposure; but, hey, if someone wants to buy one of my photos, more power to 'em!
